Friday Updates

January 19, 2018 Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please enjoy our Friday Update where we share important updates about coming events in our school and our community. We have 1 new updates and 5 reminder updates from last week.

From the Panda Room:

Kindergarten students in the Panda room have recently begun two handcraft projects.  Due to the interest and enthusiasm students have shown we are in need of additional supplies.  For our giant pompoms we need yarn (any and all will be happily accepted) and for our finger weaving we need more small rubber loom elastics (such as Rainbow Loom elastics).  Anything you're willing to donate, please send with your child or drop off at the office, labelled Panda Class.  Thank you!

News from the School Council:

“The RPPS SCHOOL Council is once again selling RPPS “swag”. We have t-shirts, hoodies, sweat pants, baseball shirts, toques for all ages, and of course, the very popular “Class of 2018” T-shirt featuring the signatures of all the graduating students (A must-have for the Grade 6 trip!) If you want to be the coolest mom/dad/grandparent/friend at any RPPS event, there are adult sizes available for all tops. Size samples will be available outside the school office. To order your RPPS Spirit Clothing, please visit the RPPS Spirit Shop on our school website at www.rockcliffeparkps./com/shop and place your orders by Monday, January 22, 2018. All items will be delivered in time for Spirit Week in mid-February. We have kept the prices as low as possible. Any proceeds will go towards RPPS events and programming. Questions? Just email dmackie@gmail.com

Planning for next year:

It's that time already!  We have begun to project our numbers for next year. A green form was sent home with your child today and we ask that you return it by Thursday, January 25th. Thank you to all of you who have already sent the green form in. A friendly reminder that it is due on Thursday.

Predicting how many students are returning to Rockcliffe Park PS is vital to our organization and staffing for the 2018-2019 school year. Thank you for your help with this.

Cash online- How to pay for school activities online:

Please remember to register for cash online. It's the most convenient, safe way to pay for school items for your child.  We have 304 families here at Rockcliffe.  So far 61 families have registered.  We are aiming for 100% participation and  we need your help to make our goal come true! If you have not yet registered, please go to the School Cash Online home page  https://ocdsb.schoolcashonline.com/ and select the  "Get Started Today" option. In a few short minutes you will be set up. Thank you!
